Doodle Portrait
This is a portrait of myself made out of doodles. I used random doodles to represent the different values in the picture. the tighter the doodle the darker the value and visa versa. It expresses my creativity. while doing this project I learned that values and shades are vital to making a picture look realistic. I liked my variety of doodles, but I wish I would've chosen different ones for my face.
Celebrity Portrait
|
This is a portrait drawing of a celebrity. I attempted to draw Blake Lively but it didn't really turn out good. I used lines to draw the facial features. I used some shading to make it look ore realistic but I didn't really work out. I learned that I need to practice more on faces and shading. I don't think I did anything well, and Id like to change everything. |
Pop Art Portrait |
|
This is a Pop Art Portrait. we had to choose someone who had on sunglasses so we could incorporate the geometric shapes in the reflection. I used the triangles to accent the portrait. I arranged the triangles in a random order. this art reflects a fun and energetic mood. I learned about the color families and what colors look good together. I like the shading I did on the face and the colors I chose for the triangles. I want to work on my facial features.

This is my name drawn in a one point perspective. I had a center focal point and drew my lines all to that point. I learned from this about perspective and that perspective can change the way you see a picture.
This is a drawing of a bag of skittles. I actually bought a bag of skittles and opened them and drew it. I used lines and value to show the shape of the bag and the shadows. I learned that drawing realistic items is harder than it seems. I like the way I wrote skittle. I wish I would've spent more time on coloring and on the skittles themselves. This is a cityscape in one point perspective I drew. all my lines had to go towards the center point, which was a lot harder than what I thought it would be. this piece doesn't really express anything in particular to me. I learned that I need to start using rulers more. I also need to b neater and take my time on things. I liked the buildings I chose to draw. This is an old page out of an dictionary that I drew a flower on. I drew a flower because flower was one of the words on the page. I just drew simple flower and colored them all different colors to mix it up. I wrote flower in a curly font because flowers are girly and so are curly fonts. This picture reflects a girly theme/ mood. I like the way I wrote the word flower. I want to work on my flower drawing skills. This is a sugar skull I did. I drew it with a white colored pencil on black paper. It was difficult to do because it had to be symmetric, but once I got the hang of it became easier. It was fun drawing with the white because it was so different than what I am used to. I feel like this piece gives of kind of a fun Halloween like theme. I liked this project as a whole, but I want to work on my symmetry drawing. This is an owl I made out of scratch art. It was hard at first because the scratch art technique was hard to get use to. It was also difficult because it was focused on positive negative and that confused me. I liked this project because the scratch art was good to do the feathers with. I like the outcome of this project and I'm really proud of it. I want to work on my scratch art techniques more in general . This is an ice cream cone I did out of the word ice cream cone. This was a fun and easy project. I had to lightly draw the outline of an ice cream cone and then fill It in with the letters. I then added color and details to make it look more like an ice cream cone. I think this piece gives off a fun and cute mood. This is a drawing of a paper airplane. this was a hard project because I'm not good at doing still lives. it was also difficult because it was hard to blend the white pencil on the paper so it doesn't look that good. I was no completely disappointed with the final outcome of this project but I could have been better. This is a collection of drawings of a dragonfly. Each box had to be from a different perspective. I also had to include all the different color theories into it. This was not my favorite piece that I produced. I used mainly colored pencils. I could've done better if I would have spent more time on it. This is a multi media piece of an elephant. I used watercolors, sewing, and book pages to do this. I struggled the most with the sewing because I had never done that before but once I got the hang of it I was fine. I am very proud of how this piece turned out. I liked the colors and the background was fun to do. This is a picture of a girl with an umbrella. I chose to do this because we had to incorporate a color wheel and I thought an umbrella would be an easy way to do that. I used acrylic paint and watercolors to do this piece. My favorite part was the background because I splatter painted watercolors o give the impression of rain, and it wad fun to do . This a silhouette painting of a giraffe eating out of a tree. I used watercolor paint to do the sunset in the background. I then used black acrylic paint to fill in the giraffe, tree, and grass. I didn't spend a lot of time on this project so it could have been better. Considering how quick I finished it though I'm rather proud of the way it turned it. It was a fun quick little project. |
